Dr. Ong grew up in Grand Blanc, MI, before graduating from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in human biology. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He is proud to be both a Spartan and a Wolverine!
He then moved to Palo Alto, CA, to complete a rigorous hospital-based general practice residency at the Palo Alto VA Hospital and Stanford University Medical Center where he was on call managing trauma and other dental emergencies. During his residency, he gained valuable experience in all aspects of dentistry, oral surgery, and treating medically-complex patients.
When Dr. Ong is not working, he enjoys hanging out with his friends, trying new restaurants, and exploring new cities. He is a car enthusiast and enjoys riding his motorcycle when the weather is nice. He likes learning new things and is currently interested in learning about getting his private pilot’s license.
